K.J.C.H was established in the year 1995 and is located at Boadi near K.N.U.S.T, in Ashanti Region. It was founded by Rev. Kofi Owusu Afriyie and is purely based upon God’s divine revelation to start an orphanage to cater for street children, needy youth, orphans, destitute babies and children.
K.J.C.H was started in the year October 1995 with only three children. They were later increased to six (6) children. The children were gradually increasing without support to cater for them and resorted to sleeping together with the Pastor and his children in the same room. In the year 2003, Mr. & Mrs. Jean Edusei, a British couple and Philantropist visited the man of God and his children and were touched after he shared his vision. These couple saw the vision and is credited with the starting of a storey building. Miranda Broersen, a Dutch volunteer also visited the Pastor when she visited Ghana and is credited with a house for the older boys.
The orphanage has eight (8) Board of Directors. They are ; Rev. Kofi Owusu Afriyie (Director), Mr. Augustine Danso (Deputy Director), Mr. Moses Danso-Afriyie (Secretary), Mrs. Jean Edusei (International Coordinator), Miss Miranda Broersen (Deputy International Coordinator), Mrs. Comfort Owusu Afriyie (Member), Rev.
